1. Five John Hughes Screenplays courtesy of Mystery Man on Film.

John Hughes was an incredible talent, one, if you’ll allow me the cliché, that helped define a generation. He will be missed.

2. Variety’s Ten Screenwriters to Watch.

There are some interesting names on the list, and some really cool projects.

3. Cinematical has an interesting article on Men writing Women.

The best rationale I can offer is that men who can successfully write women are those who don’t try to write as women. What I mean is — they write naturally and rationally rather than with specific and often stereotypical tropes in mind. There might be classically “feminine” elements to the story, but the path and thought behind them is, simply, human.

Pretty good advice I’d say.

4. Bill Brioux looks at the pickle Flashpoint’s gotten itself into.

It’s an interesting read. Found originally courtesy of DMc.

5. Jill Golick looks at how the characters on Mad Men have changed.

If you’re a Mad Men fan, take a look.
